Getting Started
Welcome to my blog! Being Frugal Is Fabulous is a place where you can learn about the latest deals, how to match coupons up with sales and cool free samples. I love to save money and I would love for you to learn how too. But how do you get started?
Clipping coupons can be very overwhelming and time consuming. My friend Melanie wrote this:
bought the binder started ordering 6 local
newspapers to cut out the coupons. I was
into it for about 2 weeks and gave up. It was
too much time for me and it was very stressful
and not easy to shop.
So how do you make coupon clipping a rewarding experience? My best advice is to start small. At the time that I started, I didn’t get the newspaper, so I was limited to coupons I printed off of the internet. Don’t feel like you need to get 6 copies of the newspaper, clip every coupon and then use every single one.
Another tip to keeping it small is to start at just one store. I started at Walgreens. I figured out how to get the best deals there, and kept shopping at my other stores the same way that I always had. Don’t feel like you have to try and get every good deal in town, or you will be totally overwhelmed.
Keep it simple and do what works for you. Don’t expect to be able to do it all at once.
