wanchai_orange_chicken

This giveaway is sponsored by Wanchai Ferry through MyBlogSpark and it includes one coupon valid for a free package of any of the Wanchai Ferry frozen entrees, in addition to a set of Asian-inspired rice bowls, chopsticks, bamboo placemats, flavored fortune cookies, and a $25 Target gift card!

The Wanchai Ferry Frozen entrees are available in 5 flavors.  They are complete meals for 2 that cook up in about 15 minutes.

I had the opportunity to try the Wanchai Ferry entrees when I visited the General Mills facility back in August and I was really pleasantly surprised with the taste. Since you do a little bit of cooking they don’t have the freezer to microwave taste that so many frozen meals do. I really, really liked the Orange Chicken.

The entries are a little pricey for me, priced at about $6.00. But you can get a $1.50 off coupon right here, and if you would use entries instead of going out for Chinese, then you would definitely be saving money. So they are good to keep on hand for those nights that you would pick up some take-out food.

If you would like a chance to win the Perfect Night In prize pack that includes one coupon valid for a free package of any of the Wanchai Ferry frozen entrees, in addition to a set of Asian-inspired rice bowls, chopsticks, bamboo placemats, flavored fortune cookies, and a $25 Target gift card, just leave me a comment on this post telling me which of the 5 flavors sounds the best to you. You can earn an extra entry for posting about this giveaway on Twitter or Facebook, be sure to leave a second comment telling me where you shared the giveaway.

This giveaway ends Wednesday, February 10th and is open to residents of the US only. Good luck!

Disclosure: I was also given a prize pack and information about Wanchai Ferry from Wanchai Ferry through MyBlogSpark. The opinions given are my own.

Farewell Post and A Giveaway

Posted by: frugalisfab | Comments (81)

Doing this blog only part way was harder for me then I thought. You see, I am not really good at doing things part way. I am not sure if this is one of my greatest strengths or weaknesses, but I am either 100% committed or not at all.  So you may have noticed that I haven’t been very good at doing this half way.

So with heavy heart I am going to say goodbye to this blog. I so appreciate all of you who have held on and kept checking my blog. I’m sorry I haven’t been able to be as committed to it as I had hoped. So thank you all for your support. I have loved doing this blog and I have learned and gained so much.

So before I go, I wanted to give you a sneak peak at my latest project. I did decide to start my own Etsy shop. And as a goodbye gift, I wanted to offer you a chance to win some of my new products. Here are a few of my favorites:

Ruffles and Fringe Headband

Ruffles and Fringe Headband

Ruffles and Fringe Hair Clip

What are you entering to win?

So I am offering a $25.00 gift certificate to my shop. All of the items in my shop are hand crafted by me.

How do you enter?

Head over to Ruffles and Fringe (my new shop). Check things out and then come back and tell me what your favorite item is in a comment on this post. You can earn extra entries by sharing this giveaway on Twitter or Facebook. Just leave me an extra comment telling me where you shared this giveaway.

The giveaway ends on Friday, February 5th and is only open to residents of the US.

MIA

Posted by: frugalisfab | Comments (10)

Hey everybody! Hope your holidays were fantastic. I hadn’t planned on taking a two week break, but I had family in town, and we were having just too much fun!

Plus when you end up flat down in bed for four days the week before Christmas, it really, REALLY puts you behind on those last minute preparations.  It all started a week and a half before Christmas. I was sitting at a stoplight and I noticed an elderly lady in an electric wheel chair that was stuck with two wheels up on the sidewalk and two down on the ground. I hopped out of the car and just scooted her down off the sidewalk. She continued on her way as did I.

A few miles down the road my back started hurting, like sharp shooting pains. I arrived at my destination and I could barely get out of the car. I called my husband who was nearby and he helped me finish up my errands and get me home. I spent the next four days flat on my back with an ice pack, only being able to walk with great difficulty and pain. I finally spoke with my doctor and she diagnosed me with a sprained back and told me she wanted me to get up and get moving. Huh? Isn’t the usual prognosis for sprains to rest it and ice it?

So I followed the doctor’s orders, and guess what it worked. I was mostly better by Christmas and we had a lovely weekend spent with our families.

In other news, I having been continuing to sew and craft up a storm and I’m thinking about starting my own Etsy shop to sell some of my little projects. Well actually, I keep deciding to do it and then totally chickening out. Ack! I am a little scared. It is a little intimidating to put your creative lovelies out there and hope that somebody wants to buy them. Here are  a few of the things I have been working on.

Ruffles and Fringe 077

Ruffles and Fringe 125

Ruffles and Fringe 040

Ruffles and Fringe 025

So what do you think? Will anybody buy them? Am I crazy for doing this? Don’t answer that!

The CVS deals for this week will be up shortly, and thank you all for continuing to read this blog my loyal readers, you are the best!

Giveaway: Free Movie Passes

Posted by: frugalisfab | Comments (77)

Thank you all for entering, this giveaway is now closed. Congratulations goes to the winner, entry #46, Cassie!

e-movie cash

General Mills has a great new promotion going where you can earn a free movie ticket by purchasing 2 specially marked boxes of participating General Mills cereal. The participating cereals are: Honey Nut Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, Trix and Reese´s Peanut Butter Puffs.

After purchasing your two boxes, you simply visit this site and enter your codes and then you print your ticket right from your computer.

This is a great buy when you consider you can get two boxes of cereal for under $5.00, or much less if you are using coupons (here is a printable $1.00 off 2 coupon) and a movie ticket costs around $10.00. I found 5 theaters with-in a 5 mile radius of my home that I can redeem the ticket at. You can see what theaters are near you here.

MyBlogSpark and General Mills have generously offered me a Movie Moments gift pack to giveaway. The gift pack includes 4 e-movie cash certificates (up to $12 each) and one free coupon for a General Mills cereal.

To enter to win:

Leave a comment telling me what movie you would like to see were you to win these passes.

If you would like a second or third entry, you may tweet or facebook about this giveaway. Leave a separate comment letting me know what you have done.

This giveaway will close on Monday, December 14th at 1:00 pm EST. Winner will be chosen via random.org. Winner must reside within the US and claim his/her prize within 48 hours or a new winner will be chosen.

Disclosure: I was provided information about this promotion as well as a Movie Moments gift pack from General Mills and MyBlogSpark.
