Longs Drugs/CVS 5/3-5/9

I was so excited when I saw our Longs ad for this week because it looks as if they are finally starting to make the transition over to CVS. If you didn’t know, CVS bought Longs last year and most stores will be transitioning into CVS Pharmacies with the exception being the stores that will be closed and those in Hawaii, which will retain the Longs name.
To see the status of your store, put your zip code into the store finder. All the stores near me pop up as “Operating as Longs Drugs,” so hopefully they will all be staying open and opperating as CVS!
I am so excited because my experience with shopping at CVS has been fabulous! This week’s ad looks like it is still a bit of a tranisition with CVS sales, but there are no ECBs {if you don’t know what that is, don’t worry! I will be doing a post on the ins and outs of shopping at CVS, look for it later this week}.

As you may know, Longs was bought by CVS last year and some stores should start making the transition this month, while others will not transition until later in the year. The exception is Hawaii, where the Longs stores will retain the Longs name. So it will be interesting to see how this all plays out!
