MIA
By · Jan 04Hey everybody! Hope your holidays were fantastic. I hadn’t planned on taking a two week break, but I had family in town, and we were having just too much fun!
Plus when you end up flat down in bed for four days the week before Christmas, it really, REALLY puts you behind on those last minute preparations. It all started a week and a half before Christmas. I was sitting at a stoplight and I noticed an elderly lady in an electric wheel chair that was stuck with two wheels up on the sidewalk and two down on the ground. I hopped out of the car and just scooted her down off the sidewalk. She continued on her way as did I.
A few miles down the road my back started hurting, like sharp shooting pains. I arrived at my destination and I could barely get out of the car. I called my husband who was nearby and he helped me finish up my errands and get me home. I spent the next four days flat on my back with an ice pack, only being able to walk with great difficulty and pain. I finally spoke with my doctor and she diagnosed me with a sprained back and told me she wanted me to get up and get moving. Huh? Isn’t the usual prognosis for sprains to rest it and ice it?
So I followed the doctor’s orders, and guess what it worked. I was mostly better by Christmas and we had a lovely weekend spent with our families.
In other news, I having been continuing to sew and craft up a storm and I’m thinking about starting my own Etsy shop to sell some of my little projects. Well actually, I keep deciding to do it and then totally chickening out. Ack! I am a little scared. It is a little intimidating to put your creative lovelies out there and hope that somebody wants to buy them. Here are a few of the things I have been working on.

So what do you think? Will anybody buy them? Am I crazy for doing this? Don’t answer that!
The CVS deals for this week will be up shortly, and thank you all for continuing to read this blog my loyal readers, you are the best!

Bummer about your back! Glad you are feeling better! And I would TOTALLY buy your awesome headbands. Then I would take it apart and make the rest myself–but hey–the idea has to start somewhere!

I would totally buy these. They look very similar to these ones I wanted from JCrew that were way out of my price range…

I am sorry about your back & glad you’re better. I’ve been there & moving is really the best thing. Ibuprofen, heating pads & laying in the floor help too.
I love the white rose. It is so gorgeous & looks so pure – almost as if it should have a scent! I love them all but the white is my favorite.

Love love the headbands. Very cute. The only hard thing about etsy is that there are a zillion people on there so u really have to figure out how to get noticed. If u search headbands on etsy there are probably 50 pages. It’s worth a try, but maybe selling to a local boutique would be better? Good luck!

Oh goodness, sorry to hear about your back!
Glad it’s better, though, and how nice of you to help that woman! And yes, I think you should definitely open an Etsy business – adorable headbands!
