Betty Crocker Mixer Gift Basket Giveaway

Betty Crocker has put together an online cooking club called the Mixer to help you get inspired in the kitchen. The best part is that it is free, you just have to register. They have six fun webisodes to watch on topics from Kickin Chickin to Greens with Envy. Here is a little sample of what you will see in the online tutorials.
To help promote the Mixer, the great people at MyBlogSpark have offered me 1 Mixer Gift Basket to give away to one of my readers. The gift basket includes:

Leave a comment telling me what your favorite kitchen gadget is. My favorite would have to be my cheap plastic mixing spoons from Walmart. I am always melting them, but I hate using wooden spoons, so I could not live without them. A close second would be the new metal measuring cups that came with the gift basket. I always buy plastic ones because they are cheaper, and the numbering always rubs off and you don’t know what size you are using!

My favorite kitchen tool is my tupperwear chopper. Everything goes in the container and you just spin the handle and it’s all done! I use it for onions so I don’t have to cry.

I wouldn’t be too happy without my non-stick skillet. It’s the only good pan I have that food doesn’t stick to at all. It makes clean up a breeze!

Salad Shooter!!

My favorite kitchen tool is my pizza cutter. I use it for lots of slicing jobs. I love zooming through a stack of french toast to make “sticks” for my four children. I’d have to *gasp* teach them table etiquette if I didn’t have a pizza cutter!

My husband recently got me a Professional size Kitchen Aid Mixer (the HUGE ones) as a surprise while he was deployed to Afghanistan. He did it just for fun to cheer me up because I LOVE to cook and I LOVE food. It was the best surprise I’ve ever had!

I’m waiting for what will be my new favorite kitchen gadget – a new Kitchen Aid Pro 600 (in cinnamon gloss). I purchased it online Sunday…but it hasn’t shipped yet, : ( I’ve always wanted one and I’ll hopefully get it soon!!
Otherwise, I’d have to say a set of cheap plastic bowls that came with lids. Great for mixing stuff & homemade popcorn! Until I get my mixer….

I love my rice cooker! It can cook a whole meal – just throw in rice, broth, veggies and some cooked meat, plug it in, it cooks and then cuts itself down to warm when it’s done. I’m a subscriber too!

I’m crazy about my Braun hand mixer with each attachment. It’s tiny and so convenient and I love the mini food processor that attaches so I can mince garlic and onions without getting stinky hands. I LOVE it. (thanks, whoever gave it to us for our wedding!)

My favorite kitchen gadget is a very hard plastic cutting board that I got as a wedding present 18 years ago. Everyday I use this perfect little cutting board and every day I think of the sweet single woman who raised 6 children by her self in the 60’s with humility and dignity.
